We got the CD but the 2 books ? Darren Shan wasn't available .. and the Artemis Fowl book was a wee bit out of my budget so i decided to hold it off for a while .. might get it later on ... 

the CD cost RM39.90 and it was worth it .. nice songs with solo instrumentals to every song , pity about Chester's and Mike's vocal deterioration .. 

  My brother is more expensive than me .. lolZ , he is younger than me by 3 years and he has a freaking belt that cost RM99.90 and a pair of black jeans that cost Rm79.90 .. WTF??!!! my own belt cost thirty bucks only and my jeans .. well reached RM 50 .. lolZ .. LIKE I CARE ?? lolZ

that's exactly what i'm doing until the 11th of December .. that's when WYSC is done.. loLZ .. WYSC .. The World Youth Scrabble Championship , is widely anticipated by youths all over the world .. i for one , am waiting impatiently for it to finally dawn upon me . 

Nervousness .. giddiness .. whatever feelings of fear .. currently surrounds me .. not because of the final result of the tourney but of whether i can excel in it .. Ah , this thought bites through me but no matter ..

Malacca Open .. Triumphant??

LOLZ ...

   Just returned from Malacca .. excelled.. well i thought i did .. in the Malacca open Scrabble Challenge ( 22&23 November ) .. got 5th place .. 9 wins and 6 loses .. And here we are ... the narration of the before , during and after the tourney ..

   It started on the 21st November .. had to go to  Tan Jin Chor's house to wait for Alex Tan there ... Here , i learnt his ISC account ( coho88 ) . Then , we had a friendly game against each other whilst waiting for Alex .. A short account on the game .. 

  With a horrible rack of  EEEGLVY , i hesitated for a moment before opening the game with a phony ( nonword ) .. VEELY .. ( the variation was VEILY or VEALY .. later found out the best move was GEELY or GYVE ) Jin Chor had a thorough thinking before deciding not to challenge it of, prefering to hook the E for HUMANISE .. seemingly AHIMNSU had no bingo by itself .. thought i was gone .. until consistency , ADORABLE , SWINDLE and ABORTED won me the game .. the second game also saw me in a winning position and was aborted as Alex Tan and Jocelyn Lor had arrived .. Loading the bags , we head off to Malacca ..

  In the car i learnt many new words courtesy of Alex and Jin Chor who played anagrams with me.. VOERTSAK , OVERTASK , VOERTSEK , OVERKEST , LEVODOPA , CIDARIS , SCIARID SOLIDUNGULATE ( without SOLID also valid :P ) are just the many words i learnt .. When we reached Malacca , we entered a Tan Kim Hock shop which was selling dodol .. evidently Jin Chor wanted some but ended up buying 50.00++ worth of food without any dodol in it ! lolZ

Found Fenix Inn and i camped out in Jin Chor's room before Gan Yi En picked me up to his house .. Khoo Beng Way was also with me and we bunked in Yi En's house for the two days ..

  That night , i talked with Beng Way about alot of stuff , catching up with one another was our main topic as we talked about school life , social life , scrabble and the outcome of the tournament ... Slept at 3 that day .. loLz .. Beng Way woke up the next morning with a height of intensed tiredness .. whoops .. my bad .. loLZ

  Okay , now to the tournament commentary .. here is how Chang Ching Wei fared...

GAME 1 ( Kong Chock Heng ) 

 A veteran who has been in the WSC ( World Scrabble Championship ) , and who has beaten Ganesh Asirvatham ( JUGGERNAUT ) of late , his dominance of consistency was well shown in this game .. Scoring consistently with VINEY ( phony ! ) , HONK , bETTERS , JOG , VIGOUR and many more proved too much for me .. lost by 89 ..

Game 2 ( Tan Jin Chor ) 

 He started well with a double-double  CoITIONS (91) but lost out to my cheapos as well as my CLIMATES and INLAYERs .. won by 55 extending my score of 2-3 with him having a win more ..

Game 3 ( Alex Tan ) 

  His game .. enuf said .. he bingoed the beautiful WATaPES and REDWInG to my SALVOING to win by 85 .. i phonied AROHE ( actually its ARUHE and AROHA >< ) and CARDMAN ( an open O would give me CARDAMON ) ..

Score : 1-2 Spread -119 Blanks : 2

Game 4 ( Paulette Yeoh ) 

  Continued my winning streak against her to 4-1 .. flinged 2 cheapos ( DITZES and JOTTERS ) and a bingo SURMISED to win the game by 85 covering up the loss by Alex ..  she tried SHAPENED knowing fully well SHAPEN is past tense already .. and she wanted to try HEADPEN but she knows its not valid ..

Game 5 ( William Kang ) 

  One of the ten M'sia WYSC representatives  , my tiles were shitty and even with TURNINg and EbONIST couldn't help me from losing by 91 ..

Game 6 ( Cedric Stewart Lewis ) 

  WHITENS and OREADEs for 97 each coupled with COZ and JANN won me the game by 48 .. Lost tempo with a phony REJONS ( doesn't take an S )

Game 7 ( Martin Teo ) 

  Facing the tournament director coordinator and one whom i have beaten before was not a factor anymore .. it never was ! when facing anybody , i know that with good tiles , anybody can win anybody .. lost by 78 with a painful VaLIDER , ZINES and MILLERs to my NARTJIE ..

Game 8 ( Yeap Gim Sai ) 

  DJIN , SPOONIES , UNIDEAL , ZOOM and QI won me the game ... missed a last turn bingo of RESINER or RERISEN .. she bingoed ELICITs and BODEGAs to reduce the losing spread to 72 .. could have extended the spread if i bingoed ..

Game 9 ( Jocelyn L0r ) 

   nOTATES was the only bingo which i gave to win the game .. she caught up with ZARFS opening the A for a possible JA .. was afraid she would do it so i blocked with AVA only to receive the J myself !! sad.. consistency ftw .. won by a mere 7

That was the end of Day 1 ... the last win gave me a chance to face Khoo Beng Way  tomorrow at the first game .. slept at 1 on that day .. tired..

  Lost by a freaking 28 !! .. he started with tISSUAL but i managed to retaliate with NATURAE .. his ETAErIO was met with my OVERLENT but he had the rest of the power tiles including the S to make a 48-point move ftw .. could have save the game if i had just one freaking S...

Game 11 ( Tan Jin Chor ) 

   Finally , i drew a cheap bingo on the first rack .. ADEINRR ( lolz , think la .. not that hard ) [ RANDIER or DRAINER ] . Played RANDIER and was given back LOAMIER .. =.=' After RANDIER , i had ABGGUUW .. a fine repayment for a cheap bingo .. Jin Chor had DECLARER on his third move and i was playing catch-up from then on with me making ground with OVeRING and OVARiES ... he missed INSIGHTS for the win .. instead he gave me a headache trying to figure out the winning move ... I found it in the end but missed out his AZOTED but i still won by 9.. phew ..

Game 12 ( Seshi Ramanathan ) 

    I have played her once and lost on that occasion .. Still it didn't stop me from winning by 95 in this match .. bingoed a nine letter word ( my first in tourneys :D ) COWARDIcE .. could have won by a larger margin if my tiles were a bit nicer ; no vowels .. heavy tiles .. the likes ..

   The last two times i played with him , i lost by 4 and 6 respectively .. so , i was bent on beating him .. loLZ .. there was a spot prize on this round .. the two players with the highest cumulative score for this round gets 2 packets of koko krunch .. lolZ .. I had crazy bad tiles in this one .. ADEGOUU wasn't a pretty sight .. I played SWAGGERS and BORACITE to his ALLERION , ROTTANS , HARMONIEs and PARODISTs .. look .. two nine letter bingoes .. shit.. final score was 586 - 389 to henry's favour .. we won the spot prize ..

He had only lost twice in 9 games on the first day .. then he lost the whole second day .. lolZ .. won by 85 ..

Yeap , that's how i'm gonna start this post .. I'm seriously pissed at my so forgetful self .. Ok .. here's what happened.. I was suppose to go to Melaka for the Melaka Scrabble Challenge competition .. i thought transportation and accommodation were settled .. instead , no..

   I forgot that Alex Tan couldn't send me to Yi En's house where i would be staying for two days ... :( .. So i tried booking a room in the Fenix Inn for a night and found out that it was fully booked .. What i should have effing done was i should have booked earlier.. sue me... 

LOLZ .. so now i can't go Melaka and my mum is waxing lyrical shit , saying that i effing careless about Scrabble .. Eff it !! Eff it all .. Can't say the real word .. if mum sees this and asks what is eff , i can invent some F-word .. lolZ

As the title well mentions , it is my birthday on this auspicious 17th November .. as is Alex's birthday ^^ .. Pity i'm stuck at home but no matter .. I write this in my blog to give me a peace of mind and to well .. abolish this wounded thoughts in my head .. Well .. She acted as though my existence for the cause of entertainment after months of stress as nonsequitur , not protitous to her , something of the utmost unimportance .. i felt the embers in me grew and i threw a mortal insult at him and her .. an action which i truly regret ..

Subang Scrabble Challenge 2008 ... fiasco!

Greetings ...

    The Subang Scrabble Challenge 2008 ended on the 7th of November 2008 with a sad feeling for me.. I got 6th .. and the prizes were until 5th only .. HAIHZ .. anyway , we are all rusty .. LOLZ .. a rundown on that day .. 

  I picked up Shawn Hoong at 7.40 and reached Subang Parade at about 7.50 .. took a whole round and reached the only open entrance ten minutes later .. helped Ram unload the stuff .. the moment i entered Subang Parade .. I got a bout of flu .. that lasted the whole day .. fuck .... 

   

  My first game was against Muhammad Ali . Consistency and a beautiful QUINOAS for 80 pts won me the game by 160 points .. LOLZ .. flew up to the top to pit myself against Pui Cheng Wui .. a veteran who beat Ganesh a.k.a. the JUGGERNAUT more times than any other Malaysian.. I threw FEM(16) at him which he retaliated by COWPEA(30) .. I gave him a DEXTRIN (88)which i could have done DEXTRINE (98) before he gave me a frightening SEQUENCY (125) , wrapping the game ... Incidentally SEQUENCY was the high word of the tournament and i could have avoided it with DEXTRINE ( he hooked the N of DEXTRIN .. HAIHZ 

  Next game was against William Kang , a youth master .. Threw down EARNEST and AREOLATE FTW .. Next was against Gan Yi En , lost to him by 4 .. could have won by one if i didn't challenge PREST ( 5 points penalty ) .. Sad .. notice the sequence ? W-L-W-L lolZ

  Played Alex Tan next .. Played SIROSET and STAGERY to earn me the game .. Next was Lee Pao Hsien .. Bombarded him with NONRATED(60) , AZYM (57) , PEATING (93) and TELLIES ( 68 ) to win the game .. Lost my next two to Jocelyn Lor and Scott Chung .. HUAH .. If i won Scott or Jocelyn , I could have gotten 5th ..

  Finally , the exams are over .. as well as Form 4 school life.. I;m gonna miss this .. i learnt aplenty in Form 4 .. from entertainment to studies .. to the finding of new friends .. to the discovery of certain 'people ' LOLZ .. certainly gonna miss the life of this .. 

  Of the whole thing , i have witness the change in me throughout the year .. being more in control of myself .. being a better being but still unable to achieve what i want .. too cowardly to do it .. other that that , i have gained what i cherish the most.. friends and more importantly .. knowledge of life ... 

  From entering beatbox to entering scrabble more professionally , i have gained two pleasantries of life .. love it or hate it .. it's part of me right now ..

  Ah , just two more days before the examinations are over .. But , hold your freaking horses .. Those two days are gonna be the worse two last days of exams .. Physics paper 2 , biology paper 2 and sejarah paper 1 .... Insanity !!!

  Anyway , the reason i wrote this entry was to lay down a few points about the reason papers that i undertook .. Maths paper 1 was so easy that i made a very careless mistake.. -.- Evidently the answer was 23.9 but i answered 24 .. go figure .. Chemistry was mad .. paper 2 i mean .. barely had enough time to finish .. the last question was asking whether group 18 elements can combine with group 2 elements .. and i answered yes .. to become covalent compound ...

Fuck , i'm wrong .. So i canceled my answer with 15 minutes left on the clock ... FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE , I HAVEN'T CHECKED THE REST OF THE PAPER !!! I answered it wrong again , saying that it will become an ionic bond ...

FUCK NOT AGAIN !! With 7.5 minutes on the clock , i scrambled to finish my correct answer [ now its correct ;) ] and checked the rest in one glance and handed in the paper .. PHEW !! Sivic was bwahahaha .. They asked the meaning of juvana and i memorized it ... WEE!!

' Mengikut Akta Mahkamah Juvana 1947 ( akta 90 ) , juvana bermaksud seseorang yang boleh menanggung kesalahan di bawah Seksyen 82 Kanun Keseksaan dan di bawah umur 18 tahun ' that should be it :) .. 

 The rest of the exams were hard ... English paper 1 & 2 were difficult ( though i did get 75/85 for paper 1 .. ) Bm is also not bad .. messed up paper 2 but who cares ... History paper 2 was shitty ... 59/80 only.. :( .. Biology paper 1&3 were okay .. i think .. Physics was downright insanely hard , accounts .. i got 56/70 for paper 2 .. Add maths plain stupid , maths 2 .. normal .. EST , kinda piece of cake and well , thats about that .. 

  9 November i got a scrabble tournament coming up .. as well as on the 22 and 23 November .. as well as 8-11 of December .. WOW !! kinda cool .. LOLZ .. Gotta study for it .. World Youth Scrabble Championship coming up as the last of the three. Buckle up for one helluva ride .. 

 Eminem rocks !! LOLZ .. but i think Linkin Park is the best musicians in the whole wide world .. Sue me... LOLZ .. Feeling kinda hyper right now , dunno why , i should be exhausted , spent the last three days studying till 1 a.m. .. Still , patiently waiting .. to make it through all the hating .. LOLZ ..
