Tolling Bell

Tolling Bell

For a moment, silence,
For the time being, peaceful ambience,
For a second, soundless,
For the moment, noiseless.

And then, it rang,
The tolling bell sang,
Like a mighty gong, echoes,
Throughout the village it goes,
All could hear,
Far and near,
The bell that has stood for years,
The sound that they heard for years.

The bell tells the time,
For everytime it chimes,
Whether it was time to rise and shine,
Or when it was time to dine.
The bell that stands proudly,
Forges itself in our memory,
From the time it was gold and shiny,
Till it became brown and rusty.

For a moment, it was quiet,
For awhile, an empty bracket,
And then, the tolling bell sings,
And life continues its cycling.

Dead Flowers

Here is my first attempt on a full-fledged song, having only written full rap songs. The verses are crooned while the chorus follows the verse's tempo. The bridge is also crooned but towards the end, the vocal notes go a bit higher.. Thats how i think the song is sung. Lyrics might be a bit mushy.. but this was done in like 20 minutes so...here it is..

Dead Flowers
Verse 1
I can't see your face,
As the light fades away,
I can't remember your face,
As the days slip away.
Rain that falls on me,
Pours so heavily,
Pain that comes and goes away,
Like a river flow...

Chorus
These dead flowers that fall to the ground,
Wittle and shed their tears,
Crying silently without a sound,
Trying to hide their fears.

Verse 2
The night so dark and so cold,
Shivers and frightens the bold,
When will the dark ever turn to light?
When will the storm subside?
The dead flower falls, beauty lost,
Petals that drop, lost their cause,
The empty chambers that fill the heart,
Wishing for hope in the dark...

Chorus
These dead flowers that fall to the ground,
Wittle and shed their tears,
Crying silently without a sound,
Trying to hide their fears.
And these dead flowers that drift away,
Wandering the streets alone,
Crying silently from day to day,
With nowhere safe to go.

Bridge
I am lost in the night, looking for light,
Wishing that you were here,
Holding tightly with all my might,
Wishing you were here.

Chorus
These dead flowers that drift away,
Wandering the streets alone,
Crying silently from day to day,
With nowhere safe to go.

The Inevitable

The Inevitable

The big obstacle that lies before me,
Forcing a decision so effortlessly,
It seems as though i've reached a junction,
Where do i go now? Any suggestions?

I cannot turn back, no, i can't do that,
My pride says no, you can't look back,
This is the point of no return, it is a fact,
You can't back out, or you'll lose contact.
The path that beckons me voices out,
You can't runaway, no you can't back out,
The voice calls, stressing every syllable,
Telling me that this is inevitable.

Counting down the hours before it happens,
Hoping for a day to pass without incidents,
I pray and i hope all day, but i know nothing lasts,
Because what's done is done, you can't change the past.
The choices i make, the chances i'll take,
The voice tells me i've everything at stake,
I cannot afford to lose, not when the chips are set,
I cannot afford to waste, the chances i'll get.

The big obstacle now lies before me,
It lies in my path looking mockingly,
I heave a sigh as i make my decision,
And hope the inevitable will clear my vision.

The Forked Road

Looking back i knew it was not to be,
What should be and what must be,
I cannot seem to see it clearly,
The forked road that beckoned me.
Looking forward i know it was to be,
To decide on how things are to be,
I cannot seem to see it clearly,
The forked road that beckons me.

Whether it was fate or destiny,
It mattered not as i took the first step,
Whether it was real or fantasy,
It mattered not as i tried to adapt.
The forked road that showed the way,
It was ever present for every day,
Waiting for its victim with glee,
Waiting for the choice to go wrongly.

The forked road that defines the future,
Brings everyone for an adventure,
Think and decide, there is no turning back,
The forked road that denies any backtrack.
If you have chosen, then that is your path,
You cannot retreat even when it's rough,
You know what you have to do, don't you?
The forked road is waiting for you.
